Hi Folks, I`m feeling a bit sad today - we had to have our lovely dog, Flynn, put to sleep on Wednesday. He was a beautiful, good-natured Golden Retriever, and was a real character - a great favourite with all the kids around here. We had him from when he was eight weeks old, and he would have been 15 very soon, so he certainly had a long life. The vet said he was the oldest Retriever he`d had on his books - but oh dear, we miss him so much. Coming so soon after losing my dad I`m finding it a bit tough. Take care all, Kathleen x

Oh Kathleen I'm SO sorry to hear of the loss of a trusted four legged friend. They become such members of the family don't they? I'm sure the loss of Dad coming and the loss of the dog is truly awful, you haven't even started grieving for one and another loss powers into you. I'm so sorry xx how to be a velvet bulldoser

Hi Kathleen, so sorry to hear about your faithful little friend. Our pets become so precious and so much part of the family. They are just wonderful companions, and the very best of friends. We lost our little Hollie a heinz 57, a couple of years ago, she was 14 yrs old and I still think of her often We have a little Westie now and sometimes I still call him Hollie by mistake but its good to remember and he doesn't seem to mind!!! So close to losing your Dad too, thinking of you, Zena xx.

hi Kathleen,
so sorry to hear of the sad loss of Flynn.
they are so much part of the family with their own character, and it's so hard to bear when they go.
i have had two dogs in my time and it took me forever to get over losing them,
take care and sending love,
Suzanne x

Kathleen, I've only just seen this, I'm so sorry you've lost Flynn, I know how we all love our animals. We lost our Coco this time last year, and we still miss him very much. I know its doubly hard because of your dad, and now you're grieving again. You gave Flynn and wonderful life, he was a very lucky dog BARBARA
